Multi-sports holiday camp to launch at Huddersfield Community Trust this Easter

Published: 27th February 2017

Here at Huddersfield Community Trust we are well known for our sports and dance camps held throughout the school holidays. This Easter we will be launching an exciting new camp, focusing on a variety of sports such as table tennis, rounders, kwik cricket, football, rugby, dance and gymnastics. The camp will be taking place from Tuesday 18th April – Friday 21st April, throughout the second week of the Easter holidays.

Whilst the dance, rugby and football camps will still run throughout the first week of the Easter break, the Trust hope that the variation of sport provided in the multi-sport camp will enable children to develop their skills within sports that they may not usually have the opportunity to try.

As well as a selection of activities, the camp will include some very special extras including a tour of the John Smiths Stadium, an opportunity to meet the players of Huddersfield Giants and of course, a guest appearance from Big G!

Lisa Hewitt, CEO of Huddersfield Community Trust comments:

“The aim of the additional camp is to enable the children to try other sports that they may not get the opportunity to in their usual surroundings.

We’ve had fantastic turn outs for our regular dance, rugby and football camps and seen the children that attend our camps come on leaps and bounds both in their skill development and confidence.”
