HGCT is always striving to deliver high quality sessions to the pupils but we bespoke our delivery to the needs of the school.
Jordan has been working with years 1 & 2 with praise of his delivery as seen from the positive feedback!
Year 1 feedback:
Great sessions – challenging but appropriate.
Some new games introduced and activities planned to keep children as active as possible (no passive learning) especially with small group games.
Good control of the class with children responding well.
Knows children well and mixes teams etc well to have different abilities/behaviour/understanding.
Skills always addressed and relates back to ABC regularly to reinforce learning.
Encourages good sportsmanship and team spirit.
Year 2 feedback:
All children enjoy participating, even those who can be reluctant or less confident in other lessons. Children ask for when it is ‘Jordan day’
An excellent relationship with the kids and is able to calm them (with the threat of reducing points!) and knows most names.
Fair and promotes positivity for all abilities.
Knows the children well – throughout the games if teams maybe a little unbalanced swaps children over.
Over last few weeks become more aware of the need to be more explicit with the teaching of tactics and uses a range of children to demonstrate.
Flexible – adapts and fits in with school events.
Good CPD for staff, enables us to observe and assess as well as gain teaching idea.
