The 2023 season will see Sarah Waddington Solicitors as an Official Principal Sponsor of the Giants Women Team.
Sarah, from Sarah Waddington Solicitors has also made an invaluable commitment to the Giants Women U19 team, where her niece, Holly Waddington is a team member. The pledge has provided the U19 team a full playing kit that mirrors the current First Team home playing kit. This is a first for the setup!
The brand will be proudly displayed on all playing kits, which means a great deal to Sarah, seeing that her commitment is influencing the development of Women in Rugby.
Sarah’s comments: “I was brought up in a Rugby family, a sport that we are passionate about and so when Holly, my niece first starting playing Rugby I took an interest in what she was doing and thought it was brilliant that she was not afraid to be playing a sport which historically had been a male dominated sport.”
Sarah Waddington Solicitors is 9 years old, but Sarah has a legal background for 18 years, where she has seen the landscape develop, a journey she feels is similar to Women in Rugby. Sarah adds: “I started my legal career at the age of 19 years in what was historically a male dominated field of Criminal Law so I understood the battles that Holly and the players would face. I have a determination to support the Women’s game in general and this opportunity is one I am so proud to be a part of”
Thoughts on the GiantsWRL so far:“I have been really impressed with the support and guidance given to Holly during her time with the Giants. There’s a real family and caring atmosphere which is great to see. Holly’s game has improved already, and I look forward to seeing Holly and the team reaching the full potential which I know they can achieve. I can see the improvements which are being made and the way in which the team are being supported. I often attend training sessions to watch and will attend as many games as possible to support I love being part of this incredibly exciting journey.
I am so looking forward for the season ahead!”
