Huddersfield Giants Community Trust is delighted to be awarded the West Yorkshire Mayor’s Crisis Fund by One Community to become a Warm Space for individuals in Kirklees.
With the awarded funding we have created free vouchers that will enable local residents to enjoy stimulating activities (from adult led football to under five activities) at our home, The Zone. Working with local charities and groups the vouchers are now distributed which will help support people from reaching crisis with the ever increasing energy costs.
As a chosen organisation to be a warm space, the funding will also enable us to provide hot and cold refreshments along with hot food.
Being able to combine participation in activities and providing a warm space – where families can save on energy costs – this is a big part of our mission to support the people in our local community.
