Huddersfield Giants will be celebrating women and girls that are currently playing Rugby League in the local area at the Huddersfield Giants Vs Widnes Vikings game on Friday 4th May, 7:45PM KO.
Prior to the game, the Giants Community team will be hosting a Girls School Festival at The Zone, 5pm-7pm which will see all schools that they currently work with playing under one roof. Fans and members of the public are welcome to attend the festival to watch.
A pitch parade will also take place at half time at the Giants Vs Widnes game by all the girls who are taking part in the festival. The winners of the festival will then be presented with trophies on-field. Additionally, all ambassador clubs who have girls playing in their teams will receive a free ticket to the game.
Two games will also be played at half time of the Giants Vs Widnes game which will feature four girls teams from the local region including Illingworth, Dewsbury Moor, Shaw Cross Sharks and Thornhill.
The evening will also see the reveal of the Huddersfield Giants U19s Women’s Team and introduced to the Giants fans for the very first time.
