Giants Community Trust launches the expanded schedule for the 2025 Giants Evolution Pathway programme.
The player development programme, which is linked in with the RFL Lions Development programme supports players aged between 12 and 16 to reach their potential within Rugby League.
The player pathway programme has expanded, consisting of 8 cohorts (the largest number of age group sessions to date) which will span over four ambassador clubs within North and South Kirklees to ensure we meet and engage with the largest pool of players. With the expanded number of sessions; we will now be driving the programme forward at community clubs, Newsome Panthers and Elland RLFC, alongside venues Lindley Swifts and Dewsbury Moor.
The development sessions are coached in line with the Huddersfield Giants pathways, providing outstanding coaching within a professional environment. The sessions are aimed to support player development, focusing on key skill sets, to increase the number of quality players and benefit the local grassroot game and community clubs.
As part of the programme, the Trust also provides Coaching CPD opportunities – this can help upskill and practice ideas, transition through the age groups, increase your coaching network and invest in opportunities to work inline with the Giants pathways. If you are interested in getting involved please email Rebecca Colwell – rebecca.c@hgct.co.uk
