Following our recent entry into the Wynsors World of Shoes 5p carrier bag competition, we are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen as one of two deserved winners and have been donated £3600.00 from Wynsors World of Shoes.
Wynsors World of Shoes started their new charity programme with the aim to give something back to the hardworking volunteers in local communities across the country, by donating proceeds collected from 5p carrier bag sales across their 44 stores nationwide.
Lisa Hewitt, CEO at Huddersfield Community Trust, said: “As a Trust, we work tirelessly within the community to deliver sport to influence and engage young people in the local community by improving their fitness and also inspiring youngsters to chase their future goals. The donation will be going towards funding a range of new initiatives, including a schools partnership programme, current and future charity work and the development of a range of multi-sensory rooms which are all at the heart of our charity.”
Kelly Maguire, store manager at Wynsors Huddersfield, commented: “We are thrilled that Huddersfield Community Trust has been chosen to receive the donation. They do such wonderful work within the local community, and hopefully, the donation will make a real difference to the multiple projects that they have going on at the moment.
