“The Education programme at HGCT is a successful programme that allows all students to strive and achieve the highest grade. The programme offered me everything necessary in order to achieve the best grade whether that was from the level of teaching or the facilities and equipment that were given to us to use to the best of our ability. The education programme was also very helpful as the tutors would always be of assistance to you when required, meaning when you were struggling they would be able to point you in the right direction.
From a personal perspective I think the course allowed me to enhance my knowledge on many different aspects of Sport in general, which enables you to have a different outlook on areas of sport. In addition to that this course increased my level of confidence to speak to an open group, which was further developed on the sports leaders’ course. Another personal development for me would be my organisational skills as I would often have to follow a structure with my assignments and meet the completion date. This is another skill I have developed and can transfer to all aspects of my life which will have a positive impact.
The course also offered me a lot of opportunities to do practical work which was enjoyable as it got you away from your laptop allowing you to put the knowledge you’ve learnt in to practice. I completed the course with a Distinction* Distinction* Distinction*. As well as that, the HGCT helped everyone towards achieving a Sports Leaders qualification which allowed you to learn new skills that will benefit you in the future. After achieving the grades I was aspiring to, I have progressed on to do a degree in Sports Business Management at Leeds Beckett University.”
