Experienced Partner School Officer Jordan’s Half Term

Published: 23rd October 2020

As the first half term of the 2020/2021 academic year closes, Jordan Foster has been praised for his delivery.

At Huddersfield Giants Community Trust we deliver sports through our Schools Partnership Programme engaging with our local community to achieve a shared objective of promoting healthy lifestyles.

Jordan has been an active partner school officer for a number of years and has built up some great relationships with schools, the children, and teachers.

The term has been a different environment to work in, due to COVID,  but we have worked hard to support our schools and work in line with both our guidelines and the schools.

Feedback and comments are a massive part of community spirit and it was lovely for Jordan and HGCT to hear great words from the schools first term.

Rebecca Miller at Headfield Academy spoke to their year 3 children that Jordan had been working with,

‘The children absolutely love your Huddersfield Giants sessions, they think they are fun, challenging, varied and they feel you are very friendly. When I asked if Headfield should continue with Huddersfield Giants there was certainly a chorus of yeses and head nodding in the room! The children and staff especially enjoy how each session is different to the last so new games and activities are constantly being played. The children see their lesson as fun and are learning how positive and upbeat exercising can make them feel. Staff are absolutely in agreement with the children, as am I and we very much look forward to continuing our work with you through the year ahead. I’d especially like to say a huge thank you for being so amenable and understanding of our school’s risk assessment during covid, taking the extra measures to ensure equipment is cleaned between each class and taking it so seriously. Thank you!’

Clair Mackenzie who works at Dalton Primary gave her thoughts on Jordan and his delivery,

“I cover in 4Blaylock on Tuesdays so I’ve been lucky enough to have Jordan every week.

The kids absolutely love it and the majority of them listen well to his instructions and put in lots of effort.

Jordan’s positive attitude rubs off on the class and they respond really well.

What a fantastic start to our day!”

We cant wait to get stuck into the next term for the lead upto Christmas!
