Giants Category 3 Rugby League Academy defeat Greenhead College 42-10 in the league final.
After what has been an incredibly successful league, the Giants Category 3 Rugby League Academy take home the trophy and win the West Yorkshire 1 League at the Dram Sports and Community Centre.
Proud Giants RL Community Manager and Category 3 Rugby League Academy Coach Chris Cullimore commented, “We have now achieved what we set out to do at the start of the year, and I can’t ask for much more than that. The lads have put 110% in and we’ve been rewarded. Our next step now is to look to progress to the Premier Rugby League. ”
The squad are all currently studying in the first year of their BTEC National diploma at the Huddersfield Elite Academy based at The Zone. Their focus will now be to complete their studies in their final year at the Elite Academy and prepare for an even tougher league.
The squad will shortly be receiving a trophy and will be parading at the next Giants home game on Sunday 8th April V Castleford Tigers, 3 PM KO. Come and support the boys and buy your tickets now for this game.
