GIANTS CHEERLEADERS CELEBRATE SUCCESS AT RECENT COMPETITION

Giant Competitive Cheerleaders celebrate success at Legacy Cheer and Dance “Stand Strong’ competition.

The squads travelled to Northumbria University Newcastle to compete against the best squads in the North at the Legacy Cheer regional competition.

The weekend was an amazing success for both the cheerleaders and parents who all come to support the team in their first competition of the season.

The Giants youth stunt group were the first to take to the floor on Saturday morning and recorded an impressive 5th place. The Giants Junior Stunt group were next up and came away with an amazing 3rd place trophy.

 Sunday saw the Senior stunt group finish in 3rd place, Senior Co Ed Stunt Group and Junior 1 Team came 2nd and the Senior Team finished in 1st place for their respective division.

Head Coach Robyn Evans commented,

“I just want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of my amazing athletes who left their hearts and souls on that mat this weekend. It just goes to show that team work really does make the dream work! I am unbelievably proud of the team we are becoming. Respectful athletes who stay gracious in defeat and humble in victory”.
