Huddersfield Giants Community Trust are extremely delighted to welcome Cammy Augustine to the team as the new Rugby League Development Officer

Cammy’s appointment marks an exciting step forward for both the Trust and the club as we continue to drive forward under the new ‘Unleashed era’.

The highly sought-after position for the charity will focus on three key pillars; fan experience, education within the sport and strengthening connections within the grassroots game across the community. Areas of work will include developing strong relationships with ambassador clubs, enhancing community partnerships, supporting key development pathways and increasing participation opportunities at all levels of the game.

Speaking on his appointment, Cammy shared his enthusiasm for joining the Trust:

“I am incredibly proud to join the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust as the new Rugby League Development Officer. In a town synonymous with the birth of our sport, I am committed to honouring that heritage by building a vibrant future.

My focus is clear: to bridge the gap between grassroots clubs, local schools and the professional game. By strengthening these pathways, we will ensure that every player, regardless of age or ability has the opportunity to thrive within the Giants and Rugby League.”

Jordan Foster, Head of Community, also commented on Cammy’s appointment:

We are delighted to welcome Cammy to the team. This appointment marks an important step in strengthening our Rugby League offer across Kirklees. His passion for the community game and understanding of the local landscape make him an excellent fit for the role. We are confident he will play a key part in building stronger connections between schools, grassroots clubs and the Huddersfield Giants, helping to grow participation and engagement across Kirklees.”

Everyone at Huddersfield Giants Community Trust is excited to have Cammy on board and looks forward to the enthusiasm, expertise and fresh ideas he brings as the Trust continues to expand its work within the community.
