Huddersfield Giants Community Trust is delighted to announce Purple Dog Limited as the New Main Sponsor of Huddersfield Giants Women
Huddersfield based First-Aid providers, Purple Dog, are welcomed on board as the main sponsor of Huddersfield Giants Women for the 2022 Betfred Women Super League season. This announcement comes as the team progresses into elite status of Super League.
An established organisation within the local community, the team are based at the Chestnut Centre where they provide First Aid and Mental Health first aid courses, with further training courses available.
For the 2022 season, making a fantastic commitment to the team, the players will be proudly wearing the playing kit with Purple Dog taking centre stage on the front of the shirt.
Helen Moss, Director of Purple Dog comments on the partnership: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to be the main sponsor for the Giants Women’s Team. As a business woman and Director of Purple Dog, with the support of my husband and fellow Director Steve Moss, it wasn’t a difficult decision for us to make.
I feel very strongly about supporting the mental and emotional well-being of women. I can see that Rugby and sport makes a huge impact to the players well-being, helping boost self-esteem, build resilience and can create such close and supportive bonds.
Steve was a semi-professional Rugby League player – now I have the same passion and determination for the sport as he has.”
After a remarkable end to the 2021 season, Giants Women finished as Shield Winners, with a nail biting finale, claiming the trophy with a 2 point victory over Featherstone Rovers. Helen and Steve were in attendance at Headingley that day. Helen adds “It was an amazing afternoon, from then we knew we wanted to be involved. I believe in Huddersfield Giants Women’s and I can’t wait to see what the season has in store for us!”
As the first official partner for 2022 announced, Lisa Darwin, CEO of HGCT comments: “We are delighted to welcome Helen and Steve on board as the Main Sponsor for 2022. Having known and worked closely with Purple Dog over the last few years I know they will be the perfect fit to help drive and support the Women’s game and the Team over the next 12 months.”
